Team Mabel together with Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta and Brgy. Capt. Jeanette Rodas headed the Mangrove tree planting and coastal clean-up last April 3 (Friday) at Barangay Lasang, Davao City. The tree planting was held in celebration of the 7th Anniversary of MABEL AT YOUR SERVICE RADIO PROGRAM.

It is the second time that Team Mabel planted trees in the coastal areas of Barangay Lasang, with the aim of preserving and rehabilitating the city's limited mangrove areas.

Mangroves are one of the world's most threatened habitats of marine species. More than half the world's mangrove forests have already been destroyed.
