AN ORDER CREATING A TECHNICAL WORKING GROUP TO DRAFT THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE OLDER PERSONS WELFARE CODE IN DAVAO CITY

The City Government of Davao continues
its commitment to ensure the wellness of its people not just by words
but with solid actions.
The Office
of the City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte has released this Executive Order
for a technical working group to be created to draft the implementing
rules and regulations of the Older Persons Welfare Code in this city.
This Code directs the local government of Davao City to protect the
rights and welfare of senior citizens and all the other laws provided
for them.
There
is a compelling need to implement this code as mandated by the law to every
local government. Thus, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte declared under the
Exectuve No. 22 to create a Technical Working Group. The group will be chaired by the City Social Service Development Office (CSSDO) and is tasked to conduct related activities which are deemed necessary for the efficient and effective formulation of the plan. And is also tasked to form a secretariat staff who are responsible for the efficient and effective execution of this Order.
