Davao Writers Workshop

As human beings, we all have our own way of expressing ourselves. May it be spoken or written, static or moving, humans have its ways. The very essence of putting our thoughts into words and letting others know is a form of liberty- freeing one's thoughts and allow it to touch others.

While it is true that anyone can express oneself, not everyone can express it artistically and orderly. Writing in any case is a talent, a skill. It takes someone to creatively arrange the popping thoughts and ideas and put it into a whole.

Davao City, an epitome of peace and order, cradles many of the best writers in the country. The Davao Writers Guild on its 6 years format conducted the Davao Writers Workshop. It is a five-day workshop which discussed and critiqued the short stories, poems, essays and a play of 15 young fellows by a distinguished panelist. This activity aims to hone the writing skills of young writers.
