5 things that make Leni Robredo a deviant

We all know this humble woman from Naga City who came into spotlight not because of "epal" and controversial activities just like other politicians but because of her down-to-earth and transparent leadership. Leni Robredo has been loved by not just the people from Camarines Sur but of many from all over the country. Following the kind of leadership her husband left, Cong. Leni continues to raise the banner of good governance in the face of the "dirty politics" of the Philippines.

While it's pretty obvious that we really love Cong. Leni and her genuine kind of service, here are some reasons that sum up our love and support for her.

1. Her actions speak of her and her service.
Unlike other politicians that push it hard and does all kinds of tactics just to be in the position, Cong. Leni is the reverse. It is results of her works and her genuine service that push the people themselves to give her a seat in the government.

2. She maintains a low profile.
While some politicians love the presence of media all over that they tend to feel that they are celebrities, Cong. Leni is the other way around. She rides a bus going to and through Naga City without having all the exhibition of cameras and public show off. She even attended the last SONA of Pres. Noynoy entering the backdoor which obviously sends a message that the red carpet isn't her thing. Oh how we love her adventures! :D

3. She does it the Robredo kind of way.
Politicians who serve the public all have their way of leadership and civil service. But unlike the traditional politicians who make their way to the top by doing all kinds of tactic they could do, Cong. Leni is the opposite. Her kind of leadership that is inspired by the late DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo, and of course her own touch of it, is one of a kind. Good governance coupled with hardwork, honesty and genuine public service make her a servant that breaks the traditional way of governance.

4. Simple Lifestyle it is
Unlike other politicians/"fashion stars"/celebrities/luxury icons and whatsoever, Cong. Leni Robredo keeps a low cost kind of living. Even during the time when DILG Sec. Jesse was still in the service, their family's lifestyle has been simple and candid. Sec. Jesse was known to wearing his slippers as he goes on duty or visitations. Cong. Leni was also spotted numerous times waiting and riding the bus going to Naga.

5. She's one of the poorest members of the House of Representatives. Based on her latest Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN), Robredo had a net worth of P8.03 million in 2014, making her the 49th "poorest" member of the House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, in her 2013 SALN – the first she filed – she declared a slightly higher net worth of P8.29 million. (http://www.rappler.com/newsbreak/iq/108506-fast-facts-leni-robredo)

Yes. she's one of a kind. the kind that touches the heart, inspires others to do better, somebody worth emulating.

Let's all go out a vote for her. opportunities like this seldom come in a lifetime. Don't live the rest of your lives regretting that you could have helped make a difference but didn't because you were blinded by the money paid to buy your votes.
