Resource Sharing of Team Acosta

A Helping Hand

It may be sad to hear that our fellow brothers and sisters are suffering in the first light of the year of 2018. Imagine helplessly watching your own home being destroyed by fire. You are left with nothing but ashes of your once tears and sweat-invested possessions.

"Life must go on", as everybody says. It is our human nature to help each other to move on and start again, in difficult times like this. We find strength in each other, for we are made to be with each other.

The fire incident that devoured the homes of our fellow 127 Dabawenyo families in Marang St., Brgy. Wilfredo Aquino, Agdao District, Davao City, left them devastated. Seeing them suffer like is truly heartbreaking. It is then our passion to serve arises, signifying that each of us is really called to serve others, especially those in need.

Government Agencies like DSWD, CSSDO, and other government offices, coupled with the efforts of private agencies like Red Cross, Colourland Inc., and individuals like Mr. Nixon Lim (though we may not be able to mention all that helped), were able to fill smiles in the hearts of the fire victims. Truly, it is not easy to become a victim of tragedies like this, but our small gifts of joys and resources will lighten the burden the
victims had been with.

Let us continue to spark the passion to serve in each other as we are called to serve and share the light to those that are in dark moments.
