September 2015 is a big milestone for the Philippine Service Commission as the they celebrate their 115th Anniversary in public service.
This is not just an anniversary but it also aims to encourage and inspire servant-heroes nationwide, state workers in their journey as servant heroes.
Last
September 1, Davao City joins the whole nation in celebration of the
month-long 115th
Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. Thanksgiving Mass Celebration
was held at San Pedro Cathedral. The Civil Service Commission was
spearheaded to conduct various activities to promote the annual
affair with the theme “Kayang Kaya Mo, Lingkod Bayani!”.
One
of the highlights of this year’s celebration is the “Takbo Ko,
Alay Ko”, 5th
R.A.C.E. fun run conducted for the fourth time in this region, with
the noble purpose of raising funds in order to sustain the Pamanong
Lingkod Bayani Program. The said activity aims to recognize civilian
government employees and to help the families of state workers who
died in the line of duty.

The
run has 3-kilometer, 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer distance
from SM Ecoland, Tulip Drive, Eco-west Drive and Quimpo categories
for men and women.

Prizes that awaits the winners include P3000,
P2000, and P1000 for the first, second and third placers, respectively.
