Last August 28, 2015, Senator Teofisto “TG” Guingona III visited
two schools in Davao City. Along with Davao City Councilors and
champions of Kaya Natin Movement, Hon. Mabel Sunga Acosta and Hon.
April Marie Dayap, the Senator went to John Paul II College of Davao
and the University of the Southeastern Philippines.

As a member of Kaya Natin Movement, Senator Guingona shared some
facts about the late DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo and how he was a
man of humility. He emphasized how simple Robredo was as he only
wears slippers and how he was a great loss to the country as he was
truly a great public servant.
Not only did the Senator gave the students of John Paul II College of
Davao and of the University of the Southeastern Philippines a little
talk of who and what kind of person the late secretary was, but also
talked about values. He taught the students of what values and
characteristics a true leader should embody in order to serve the
people well and represent what a great leader is. He also entertained
questions from the audience.

What made his visit more interesting was that he talked in Bisaya
that shocked some of those from the crowd. But of course, Senator
Guingona is also from Mindanao, the former representative of Bukidnon
and lived in Malaybalay.
