Shari Faye Paleracio of Davao City National High School is this year's Mabel Sunga Acosta Campus Journalist of the Year Awardee. Ms. Paleracio, a third year student under the Special Program of the Arts section, is also the Editor in Chief of Davao Wave, DCNHS official publication, under the supervision of Ms. Nelly Tirol.
Other winners of the competition are: Frederick Omalza of the Sta Ana National High School, 1st runner-up; Jeffrey Josol of Talomo National High School, 2nd Runner-up; and Lanie Daluz of Sta Ana National High School, 3rd Runner-up.

The Judges of the Mabel Sunga Acosta's Search for Campus Journalist of the Year 2008 who was tasked to oversee the competition were (from R to L): Mr. Robert Torres of the City Information Office, Mr. Andy Rara of ABS-CBN- DXAB, Mrs. Binelda J. Sunga, retired DEPED Schools Division Supt., Ms. Amy Cabusao and Mr. Carmelito Francisco both from the Mindanao Times.

I can still remember, you were one of the speakers in one of the Division Secondary Schools Press Conference which was held at the Davao City HS way back in 1990. I believe that the City Council's Committee on Education is doing a good job! Our teachers are real heroes!
