Mabel at Your Service Feature Davao City's Fortune Telling Duo

Last January 11, 2008 was one of our very interesting editions of Mabel at Your Service. We featured Davao City’s fortune telling duo Madame’s Sal and Rose Salvina of Bajada, Davao City.
Both Fortune tellers predicted 2009 to be a great year in investing on businesses that involves water, food, real estate and electronics. 2009 is also a productive year in Philippine politics. New names will emerge and new faces in show business will be expected.

According to Madam Sal a lot of people go to them during the beginning of the year. Usually their clientele are “regulars” or “repeat customers” after predictions come true or advice leads to positive results. Many of their patrons in fortune telling are Catholic devotees who find themselves in difficult situations and need guidance. Even during Lent, a major religious holiday for Catholics in the Philippines, fortune tellers like Madame’s Sal and Rose expects to be swamped by customers who are drawn to fortune-telling because they have a penchant for luck,”.

Madam Rose claimed she was “quite accurate” in telling other people’s fortunes. They use tarot cards or ordinary play cards to tell fortunes; they read palms. She said she first learned that she had “the gift” in 1978 when predictions she made for friends and family members allegedly came true. “God should always be the first,” she said as she made the sign of the cross. “What we say are predictions and suggestions, these are just for people’s guidance. What we say are not necessarily what will happen.”

Fortune telling is truly entertaining. One must realize that it needs hard work to be truly successful. It's best to have fortune telling advice provoke you to positive right action and entertain you simultaneously...life is what you make it. Enjoy yourself." --
