What's up for Heart's Month?
The office of Davao City Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta would like to share with you some tips to prevent heart disease:
* Laughter and Drink Tea may prevent heart disease
* Eat a heart-healthy diet
* Improve cholesterol levels
* Exercise one hour a day, seven days a week
* Control diabetes
* Control high blood pressure
* Control weight or maintain body weight
* Have a balanced diet with approx. 30% of calories from monounsaturated fats
such as olive oil, canola, fish and nuts.
* Limit Saturated Fats, Carbohydrates, sugar or any sugar food including white flour
* Manage or Reduce stress with a Good Laugh
* Quit smoking
* Follow a heart-healthy lifestyle
