Persona Non Grata
Article XIII, Section 14 of the 1987 constitution provides that the State shall protect working women by providing safe and healthful working conditions, taking into account their maternal functions, and such facilities and opportunities that will enhance their welfare and enable them to realize their full potential in the service of the nation.
Even the Constitution itself, the highest law of the land, mandates respect and protection for women. Not all of us may have wives, girlfriends, sisters, or any special woman in our lives, but all of us have mothers. A mother who carried us in her womb for 9 months, and gave us life. A mother who would do anything and would even sacrifice her life for her child.
For uncountable reasons, it would only be grateful to give respect to women. It may be just the wrong choice of words at the wrong place and time. But still the damage has been done. Therefore, it must be corrected, and the wrongdoer must be reprimanded.
