Executive Order No. 34 "An Order Creating the Interim Persons with Disability Affairs Office (IPDAO), Defining its Functions and For Other Purposes"
Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10070, an Act Establishing an Institutional Mechanism to ensure the Implementation of Programs and Services for Persons with Disabilities in every Province, City and Municipality, Amending Section 40 of Republic Act no. 7277, Otherwise known as the "Magna Carta for Disabled Persons" as Amended, and for Other Purposes, a Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) shall be organized and established in every province, city and municipality.
There is an urgent need to address the priority concerns of Persons With Disabilities in the city that include among other undertakings that shall enhance the health, physical fitness and the economic and social well-being of PWDs.
The high number of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) considered as among the vulnerable sectors in the society that need the utmost attention from the government who should be afforded with favorable institutional environment to promote their general well-being.
