“Ahhh, so that’s how we do it!”- This seemed to be the message on the faces of the senior citizens who joined the livelihood program held last April 18, 2015 at Brgy. 24-C.
The program started around 9 am converging the members of the said barangay’s Senior Citizen Association and Women’s Association. For this training, Team Acosta taught the participants how to make Spanish sardines and Siomai. There are about 49 people who benefited from this activity.
Sardines are named after Sardinia, the Italian island where large schools of these fish were once found. Also, sardines (fishes- not yet canned) are rich in omega-3 fatty acids helpful in preventing heart diseases. The omega-3 fatty acids found in sardines play a major role in controlling heart diseases.
