Filipinos truly have exceptional talents. In the recently concluded Asia's Got Talent, the very first champion was the Filipino group El Gama Penumbra from Tanauan City, Batangas. The group is known for their message filled silhouette presentation which made the judges push the golden button.
With the drive and passion for music, students from Muziks Kool in Damosa, Davao City are now preparing for their trip to the World Championship of Performing Arts in Long Beach California this upcoming July 10-19, 2015. Led by Mr. Jonathan Ferrero, Head of Music Production and Mr. Jeremy Sarmiento, Talent Manager/Vocal Coach, these young artists are doing their best to raise the banner of the Philippines in the said event.
There will be 12 young people who will be going to the US and will participate under different categories. For the group category, the boyband YFI and trio Zhaleia (all girls) will represent and Jona Soquite, 12 y/o for the solo.
The program will not just be all about the competition because prior to that, there will be a 3-day boot camp which will involve trainings, workshops and exposures for the participants. Furthermore, various trainings for singing, dancing, modeling, acting, etc. will be offered. Ultimately, these students are fighting for is the scholarship grant that the program is offering. But what counts the most is the experience of performing in the world stage.
The team will be leaving the country this July 8, 2015 and they are hoping that we give them our support as Filipinos and fellow Dabawenyos.
The program has not yet started, but our hearts are overjoyed to see these young people making it to the international stage. God bless to all the participants and the whole delegation and we hope that you make this experience a journey to remember.
Good to know:
The first champion of the World Championship of Performing Arts is the singer and show " Your Face Sounds Familiar" judge Jed Madela. Indeed, Filipinos are world class talents.
