MOA SIGNING CEREMONY
DAVAO LIGHT & POWER CO. INC., ABOITIZ FOUNDATION INC. AND
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION DAVAO CITY DIVISION


Davao Light & Power Co., Inc. and Department of Education (DepEd) Davao City Division held a successful MOA signing ceremony on May 8, 2015 at Lanang Damosa, Davao City as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of Davao Light & Power Co., Inc. and Aboitiz Foundation Inc.

This big milestone between the two agencies were attended by: Mr. Arturo M. Milan, Executive VP & Chief Operationg Officer of Davao Light & Power Co. Inc.; Mr, Fermin P. Edillon, Community Relations Manager of Davao Light & Power Co. Inc.; Dr. Helen D. Paguican, Schools Division Superintendent of Dep Ed Davao City Division; Ms. Luna Maria Dominique S. Acosta representative from the Office of Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta; Principals of Cabantian Elementary School, Catalunan Grande Elementary School, Kapitan Tomas Elementary School, Sta. Ana  Elementary School, B. Carpio National High School, Crossing Bayabas National High School and Davao City National High School; Office  head and staff of Davao Light & Power Co., Inc. and media partners

MOA signing for the  Corporate Social Responsibility Projects include the following:

·      AGAPP School Building Donation to Cabantian Elementary School represented by its Principal Corazon G. Gaballes.

·      School Rewiring Project in Catalunan Grande Elementary School & Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School represented by principals Emma Ma. L. Vlancaber and Epifania M. Villa respectively.

·   Refurbishment of electrical laboratories in Davao City National High School, B. Carpio National High School & Crossin Bayabas National High School represented by principals George N. Wong, Evelyn E. Magno and Johnito O. Galan, respectively.

·     Computer Donation in B. Carpio National High School, Kapitan Tomas Monteverde Elementary School & Sta. Ana Elementary School represented by principals, Evelyn E. Magno, Epifania M. Villa and Mariclu M. Alpas, resprectively.

·    Armchairs Donation to Davao City National High School and Cabantian Elementary School represented by principals George N. Wong and Corazon G. Caballes, respectively.

·   Support to Brigada Eskwela to B. Carpio National High School represented by its principal Evelyn E. Magno.

Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. and the Aboitiz Foundation Inc.’s initial support to the Department of Education Davao City for these various CSR projects are estimated to reach P4.2 million.
