Team Acosta on United Nations (S.I.R Phase 1)

Flags and national attires surged the basketball court of Brgy. Bucana, S.I.R Phase 1 as the children wore their costumes and props for the PHDCCI United Nations Celebration.

Last October 26, 2015, Team Acosta represented by Ms. Eden Colina joined the celebration through serving the delicious and healthy Moringa Tuna Lugaw to all who participated the event. The kids as well as their guardians enjoyed a hot meal in a cup as they display and show off their represented country. Ms. Eden Colina also gave a short message echoing the support of Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta to the kids, their parents and teachers.

With these kinds of activities, Team Acosta and Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta herself fully support the showcase of talents and knowledge of the children of not just about our country but of things around the world.

DID YOU KNOW?

Why do schools celebrate the United Nations Day?
UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.
24 October has been celebrated as United Nations Day since 1948.

What is UN?

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945.  It is currently made up of 193 Member States. The main organs of the UN are the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Trusteeship Council, the International Court of Justice, and the UN Secretariat.  All were established in 1945 when the UN was founded.
