Everyone has been so busy celebrating the Christmas Season. Just like any typical Filipino community, there are Christmas parties everywhere and people exchanging gifts with lots of foods and laughter.

But before all the fun and enjoyment, the women of Barangay 23-C did not miss the chance to gain more knowledge and acquire livelihood ideas to support them in their household needs. In coordination with their group's officers spearheades by their president Ms. Susan Alison, Team Acosta conducted a Livelihood Training Program focusing on dishwashing last December 9, 2015 at Purok 4 and 2 home-based school.
Women were gathered to learn the basic steps and ingredients on how to make a quality yet less costly dishwashing liquid.

At the end of the activity, the attendees were very thankful for the training  as they have learned new skill and perhaps help them gain more income if they maximize what they have learned.

DID YOU KNOW:

That the Philippines celebrates Christmas for a long period of time compared to other countries? Filipinos start to play Christmas carols and feel the breeze of the season as the months turn into "ber". The formal celebration commences on the 16th of December during the first pre-dawn masses (Misa de Gallo) or widely known as Simbang Gabi for the Filipinos.

But wait there's more!
The celebration continues until the First Sunday of January when Epiphany or the Feast of the Three Kings is celebrated.
