The Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev) has finally turned over the 2,000 sq. m of an integrated disaster response compound. This facility is equipped with a Central 911, police station and a fire station located in one integrated area. The ceremony was attended by the Incoming City mayor of Davao Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio, who received the plaque in behalf of the Local Government of Davao, and the Alcantara Group Chairperson Tomas Alcantara in behalf of Alsons Group.
According to Mayor Inday, this facility will greatly help the Dabawenyos as it is located in a very strategic area in Buhangin. The compound has a two-storey Central 911 station equipped with infirmary and standby
ambulance; a one-storey police station with two detention cells; and a
two-storey fire station with two standby fire trucks.
This project has long been in the talks and plans. And at last, it has come to pass and is now ready to serve the public.
Another milestone for Davao City and another proof that pub and private partnership is really attainable as long as it is done with goodwill.
