13th Acosta Cup is a wrap!

Sunday afternoon heat did not bother the energetic and very excited players of Aguilas Dabaw and PCT Khanj as they battle for this year's championship.

Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the women players started to exchange kicks trying to get a goal against each other.

Defense was the strategy of Aguilas Dabaw however aggressive offense was not undermined. Compared with their last year's performance, Aguilas Dabaw has become better and fiercer in the field. They have thrown amazing kicks and footworks which led to their back to back victory. Aguilas Dabaw defeated PCT Khanj (Philippine College of Technology) with 2-1 score.

After the championship game, Aguilas Dabaw was then hailed champion and PCT Khanj 1st Runner Up. D'DS was announced 2nd Runner up last week.

After the championship game, Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta led the awarding ceremony together with Councilor Ibuyan Jr. who was the official representative of Mayor Inday Sara Duterte for the event.

This year's MVP is Jekhai Cantilla from Aguilas Dabaw. She received a medal and a special token, limited edition President Duterte watch, from Councilor Ibuyan Jr.
