DAVAO CITY – The 15th Acosta Cup last year had a lot of special additions to it, one of which is the 1st Acosta Cup Women in Action Photo Contest, which was added during a Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum last December.
We have a total of twenty nine (29) entries coming from ten (10) different participants, some of whom are professional photographers, while others are amateur hobbyists, and one of them was even a player during the tournament.
Mr. Seth Delos Reyes, Mr. Jesus R. Tinapay, and Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta served as the judges for this contest. The winners will each receive a Certificate of Recognition as well as cash prizes ranging from ₱2,000 to ₱5,000.
The People’s Choice Award goes to entry no. 3 by Bing Gonzales. In 3rd place is entry no. 23 by Patrick Joshua Losantas, 2nd place is entry no. 24 by Teofilo Dulay, Jr., and in 1st place is entry no. 27 by Jerson Flores. Lastly, the Councilor’s Choice Award goes to entry no. 01 by Arjoy Ceniza.
