Mabel Sunga Acosta is a City Councilor of the First District of Davao City from 2001-2010 and 2013-present, and a Career Executive Service Eligible. She heads the City Council’s Committees on Peace & Public Safety and Publication. She empowers the youth, women, environmental advocates, peace and security forces, and the community through effective legislation and community services.
Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta was designated by the Honorable Vice-Mayor Sara Z. Duterte to be the Acting Vice-Mayor from Sept. 18, 2007 to October 10, 2007 and October 26 - 31, 2007.
