Fight Against Graft and Corruption

For the 3rd straight day in a week, Team Mabel has responded to their civic duties and social responsibilities by joining the Anti-Corruption Rally on October 19 which is organized by the Multi-Sectoral Anti-Corruption Council (MSACC) with the Office of the Ombudsman as the lead agency.

The rally participants, some of whom came as far as IGACOS, Tagum City and Panabo City, assembled at the Freedom Park in Roxas Boulevard and walked from there to Holy Cross College of Davao in Sta. Ana where they all congregated in CYO Gym to attend the launching of the National Anti-Corruption Program of Action (NACPA).

The participants wore shirts in colors designated by the MSACC: Yellow for Ombudsman employees, National Youth Council, CPUs, JGUs, professionals and line agencies; Red for employees of the executive and judiciary departments and the media; Blue for LGUs, DILG, Bangko Sentral employees and the business sector; and Green for officials and employees of Congress, CSC, COA, the interfaith/ religious sector, Academe, and PNP.

The launching of NACPA was attended by no less than the Ombudsman herself, the Honorable Merceditas Gutierrez.
