Councilor Acosta in Nam-Nam Primary School

In pursuit of her commitment to be actually apprised of the welfare of public schools in the city, Councilor Acosta visited Nam-Nam Primary School in Marilog District last January 16 to personally see the condition of said school and its pupils. She and her staff were welcomed by the Sitio Nam-Nam Leader Datu Bernardo Salay-ao and the school’s teacher-in-charge, Ms. Ethel M. Olaco. Ms. Betty Cabazares, Director of Kinaiyahan Foundation, accompanied the Councilor as she is familiar with the area.

Nam-Nam Primary School has a population of 24 pupils, comprising of two grade levels only. The schoolchildren, despite being wary of the visitors, were very much happy upon receipt of the school supplies, books, sports equipment, and multivitamins that the Councilor gave them. They, in return, delighted the good Councilor and her staff with their songs.
