No one knows the time when hazard strikes. So, to lessen the disasters, people has to be less vulnerable. Recently, we have been hearing news about the West Valley Fault along Metro Manila which urged the government to prepare the public for possible disasters.

Of course, we cannot stop Mother Nature if she strikes her wrath. Anytime, natural calamities such as earthquake, flooding, fire, etc. may occur catching us off guard. Thus, being ever ready will allow an individual to be less vulnerable. They always say that prevention is better than cure, so the Davao City government took the initiative to prepare and make sure that the employees and the people of Davao are ready if in case these scenarios may occur.

In response to the call of preparedness, an Earthquake Drill was conducted at the Sangguniang Panlungsod on August 20, 2015. Staff and employees of the City Council participated in this 20 mins. drill around 9am.
Participants took the drill seriously and abide by the instructions given prior the drill.
