A VISIT TO HOUSE OF HOPE
Seeing children suffering from the
fatal condition like Cancer would immediately tear our hearts. Especially, we
know that in their very young age they are already carrying this heavy load of
fighting for their lives. They are stripped away from their childhood years
when they are supposed to learn and to play around without the limits their
conditions may require. But, they are in this tough battle even adults like us
can't even imagine facing it. The mere thought of this bring unbearable chills
to us.
Children in the House of Hope
at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) actually bring happiness to
their family and to the people around them, despite of the burden they have on
their shoulders. Their smiles are genuine and their stories inspire us to move
forward without hesitations on what lies tomorrow. They teach us to be thankful
on every gift and each day we receive from our Most Loving God.
To bring cheer to these
little angels, Team Acosta by the initiative of Ms. Luna Acosta visited the
House of Hope as her birthday celebration. Toys from John William Ben (a
Dabawenyo nurse working abroad) and meals prepared by the Team Acosta were
given as a thanksgiving for the blessings received from God.
As Stewards in this World, it is our duty to become a channel of
blessings to people around us regardless of where we are, what we are and who
we are in this society.
