"AN ORDER CREATING THE DAVAO CITY PROGRAM MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTING UNIT FOR THE PERFORMANCE CHALLENGE FUND"
After being granted with 5 Million Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) because of Davao City's "Seal of Good Local Governance" Award, the creation of Davao City Program Management and Implementation Unit is created by the City's Executive Order No. 28 to ensure and oversee the efficient utilization of the said PCF.
The PCF will be utilized for the construction of 11 Materials Recovery Facilities (MRF) in 11 different barangays in the city as mandated by the R.A. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act) and City Ordinance No. 0561-10 of 2010 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Ordinance of 2009. The MRFs would help promote clean environment and effective solid waste management in the city.
