Kadayawan 2015: Pamulak

Davao City is not just known for its bountiful harvest of fruits and majestic Philippine Eagle. It is also known to be the home of the Queen of Philippine flowers-Waling-waling.

In celebration of this gift of Nature, Kadayawan sa Dabaw festival showcases the Pamulak sa Dalan to show the beauty of various flowers abundant in the city. The parade displays the floats of the sponsors and contenders for the alternative and traditional categories.

Kadayawan 2015: Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan

Kadayawan sa Dabaw 2015 will not be complete without the Indak-indak sa Kadalanan. This festive street parade will energize your eyes and ears as you see the colorful costumes of the participants glaring along the streets of San Pedro. Your ears will hear the pleasure of the ethnic and traditional music as the performers dance with all the smile.
Indak-indak sa Kadalanan will keep you hyped up and energized, you'll find yourself dancing to beat.

This year's participants come from far places all over Mindanao. Although, this is a festival of Davao City, the local government opened this competition to other cities for them to perform and have the chance to win up to Php 500,000.00 (Grand prize).

1. Municipality of Banganga, Davao oriental- 4th runner up (50,000 Php) 
3. Kap. Tomas Central Elem. School Culture and Arts Dance Troupe 
4. Tingagun Dance Troupe of Malabong, Lanao del Sur 
5. Polomolok Performing Arts Guild- won Best in musicality and 3rd runner up (100,00 Php) 
6. Tribung Grandehanon of Catalunan Grande 
7. Sto. Nino National Highschool, Kalingawan Dance Troupe, Sto. Nino South Cotabato- 1st runner up (400,00 Php) 
8. Nawan National Highschool, Mati City- Champion (2014)- 2nd runner up (300,000 Php) 
9. Optaciano Hilay National High School
10. Jose L. Porras Elementary School
11. San Luis National High school, San Louis Caraga Davao Oriental 
12. Gov. Generoso, Davao Oriental

The Indak-indak sa Kadalanan is a must see activity of the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City. This is a showcase of the various tribal culture and tradition depicted through dances and performances.

KADAYAWAN 2015: Fluvial Parade and Panagtagbo

Last August 21, 2015 the 11 tribes of Davao City were gathered at the Agro Football Field for the Fluvial Parade and Panagtagbo event in celebration of 30th Kadayawan sa Dabaw.

The Panagtagbo is a vibrant display of harmony and solidarity as the rich cultures of 11 tribes of Mindanao: The Ata, Matigsalug, Ovu-Manuvo, Klata-Djangan, Tagabawa, Tausog, Maguindanao, Maranao, Kagan, Sama & Iranun tribes gathered together in song, dance and laughter.

The celebration commenced with the Fluvial Parade wherein the different tribes showcased their culture through the display of their detailed and colorful floats (boats). The floats streamed along the Bankerohan River then docked beside the Agro field for the Panagtagbo.

Each tribe performed their traditional dances and presentations that entertained not just the locals but the foreign visitors as well.
Despite of the diversity of culture, the different tribes of Davao have proven that they can still gather as one. This proves that differences can be an asset for peace and unity within a city. Indeed, it brings an overview to the people of the Philippines and all over the world to recognize the different cultures and traditions of Davao City.

MODA MINDANAO 2015 (Mindanao's biggest Fashion Show)

Mindanao's glamorous fashion show strikes again as we celebrate the 30th Kadayawan sa Dabaw. Moda Mindanao is an avenue for the local artists all over the island to showcase and unleash their artistic passion for fashion.

Models ramped the innovative yet cultural inspired designs of the artists flaunting the beauty of Mindanao and its ethnic groups. 

In the end of the show, three winners were awarded in three different categories. All of them coming from Koronadal, South Cotabato. Also, the collection of Mr. Jared Cervano which are inspired by the B'laan Tribe was showcased.
