Barangay 12-B Senior Citizen Oath Taking

To welcome the latest set of Senior Citizens officers of Barangay 12-B, Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta supported them through leading the oath taking. 

The officers gathered at their covered court to take their oath of service as the leaders of their senior citizens in the barangay. They were very excited and ready to take their post and be active members of their community.

The newest set of officers is lead by their President Ms. Juliet P. Parnada. During their oath taking the barangay council gave their full support with the presence of Kagawad Nelson Abella, Chair of the Committee on Senior Citizen, Kagawad Nathaniel Pacatang, Kagawad Jeremie Rico, Kagawad Noel Sadural, Kagawad Achimedes Alcoseba. Kapitan Nelia Tumabang also sent her warmest welcome to the newest officers of the senior citizen body.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it transcends from the physical to the inner being of every person or creature. Well, it is undeniable that we are all beautiful in our own ways. We just have to accept that "every inch of us is perfect from the bottom to the top" as what Meghan Trainor's song says.

But for the women of the Beauty Consultants Club, beauty is more than the physical. More than the products or treatments you put in your body. It's more of friendship and sisterhood. That is why last October 28, 2015 at Evelyn Ong's Beauty Parlor, their latest set of officers were inducted.

The vibrant women swore their oath of service in front of the members and guests of the event. This milestone of the group was graced by Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta who also led the induction of the officers. This was then followed by the inspirational message of their president Ms. Thelma Perez.

After the event was a feast with very sumptuous food prepared by the group.

Queens (Maa) Oath Taking

The covered court of Brgy. Maa, was filled with color pink as the women of Queens Livelihood Program of Davao Inc. together with Philippine Extreem Volunteer's Association, Inc. (PEVAL) converged for the Oath taking of their new set of officers.

October 25, 2015 marked the commencement of their leaders in their post of service for the association. The founder for Queens in Maa is Kagawad Antonieta Apa along with Reden Basilio, Adviser.

There were presentations and speeches during the program. It was Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta, 1st District Councilor and Kaya Natin Champion, who led the oath taking.

After the program proper, Team Acosta served the sumptuous and healthy Moringa Tuna Lugaw which gave everyone a happy and healthy tummy after the activity.

Tanda 1 Women's Organization of Brgy. Magtuod latest set of officers took their oath last October 17, 2015.

The program was opened by the newest president Ms. Rish Sheena Torejas and was followed by a special message of Hon. Jaime Gorre. For their first week of celebration, Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta gave an inspirational message to the members of the group. Their celebration's theme was "Panaghiusa sa Kababainhan ang bunga sa Kalambuan." During their ceremony, the members of Gravahan Women prepared a dance number that entertained everyone at the venue.

"Empowered women" these words perfectly describe the women of Brgy. 74-A, Matina Crossing as they continue bringing the torch of their association and their principles.

Year 2015 marks another milestone of Gravahan Women's Association as their  latest set of officers take their oath of service. This Assembly Ceremony was themed "Panaghiusa sa Kababainhan, Bunga sa Kalambuan" allowing the women to develop their skills, talents and build support to one another. The association with 45 members is currently headed by their President, Ms. Evangeline Bolivar.

Before the  officers swore in service, some members first showcased their talent through a dance number. The oath taking then followed and was led by Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta herself.
