As the Republic of the Philippines enter into another chapter of leadership with the oath taking of President Rody Duterte, the Punta Dumalag II Community Association Inc. also took their oath of service. The new set of officers led by President Jerry Pichon and Vice President Neneng Noya led the ceremony with inducting officers Kagawd Melecito Guiao, Kagawad Jose III Gavan and Kagawad Romeo Arduo.

Team Acosta, represented by CAA Head Eden Colina and Maries Lapuz joined this new chapter of the association's journey. After the formal ceremony, there was a small get together where everyone shared their simple preparation of food.

First District Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta gave full support to the Ecoland Subdivision Route Operators and Drivers Association (ESRODA) new set of officers.

Her message of support to the officers and members of the association gave them encouragement to make a living and create an atmosphere of bonding and camaraderie within the group.

The latest set of officers is led by Ms. Emily Monte de Ramos, president, with Mr. Erwin Ferrando as her VP.

DID YOU KNOW?

The first motorbike was built in Germany in 1885 by Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach. It was called a Reitwagen (riding car) and it was the first gas powered vehicle, a precursor to the current day automobile.

The tallest motorbike in the Guinness Book of World Records was built and ridden by Gregory Dunham. It was over 11 feet from the ground to the handle bars. The tires alone were 6 feet tall and the entire bike weighed 2.94 tons.

Beauty Consultants Club (Induction of Officers 2015)

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it transcends from the physical to the inner being of every person or creature. Well, it is undeniable that we are all beautiful in our own ways. We just have to accept that "every inch of us is perfect from the bottom to the top" as what Meghan Trainor's song says.

But for the women of the Beauty Consultants Club, beauty is more than the physical. More than the products or treatments you put in your body. It's more of friendship and sisterhood. That is why last October 28, 2015 at Evelyn Ong's Beauty Parlor, their latest set of officers were inducted.

The vibrant women swore their oath of service in front of the members and guests of the event. This milestone of the group was graced by Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta who also led the induction of the officers. This was then followed by the inspirational message of their president Ms. Thelma Perez.

After the event was a feast with very sumptuous food prepared by the group.

Maahad Rabitato Davao Al-Islamic Launching and Induction of Officers

Maahad Rabitato Davao Al-Islamie has entered into a new chapter of its Madrasah journey. September 3, 2015 in Waan, Davao City, the new set of officers were inducted in their respective positions and roles. Maahad Rabitato Davao Al-Islamie is the organization of the different Muslim communities in Buhangin area all pledged to secure the quality of Madrasah education.

The induction was duly led by First District Coun. Mabel Sunga Acosta, Committee Chair for Education, Sports and Arts and Culture. The group inducted their Board of Trustees and Members whose Chairman is Datu Nicanor Mohamad together with their Administration and Management led by Director Alim Abdul Rahim.
