EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 13 SERIES OF 2018


"AN ORDER RECONSTITUTING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE DAVAO CITY CULTURE AND ARTS COUNCIL, PROVIDING FOR ITS POWER AND FUNCTIONS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES"

The creation of the Davao City Culture and Arts Council is in accordance with the mandate of the expressed provision of the Local Government Code of 1991 which declared that the Sangguniang Panlungsod shall establish a council whose purpose is the promotion of culture and sports, coordinate with government agencies and non-government units to ensure supports and development of the same.

Department of Interior and Local Government issued Memorandum Circular No. 2017-133, dated September 29, 2017, revising DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2008-81, titled: "Creation of Local Culture and Arts Council". There were additions in the composition and functions of said Council, thus the pronouncement of this EO.

"AN ORDER CREATING THE CITY AUDIT AND TRANSITION TEAM (CATT) FOR BARANGAYS IN ACCORDANCE WITH DILG MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR 
NO. 2018-12, DATED FEBRUARY 1, 2018, AND DEFINING THE RESPECTIVE POWERS, FUNCTIONS AND 
DUTIES THEREOF"

The DILG in accordance with existing laws, issued Memorandum Circular No. 2018-12 dated February 1, 2018 stipulating the guidelines for the proper conduct of inventory and turnover of all Barangay Properties, Financial Records, Documents (BPFRDs) and Money Accountabilities by all incumbent Barangay Officials. Also, the Memorandum Circular further provides that the City Mayor shall create through an Executive Order a City Audit and Transition Team (CATT) for Barangays, hence the promulgation of this Executive Order.

Applications to the 7th Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. Triennial Awards is now Open!

The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.  (RAFI) Triennial Awards is an award program in the Visayas and Mindanao that gives recognition to individuals and institutions who make significant contributions to social development particularly in areas where help is most needed.

The RAFI Triennial Awards is awarded every three years in two categories namely: the Ramon Aboitiz Award for Exemplary Individual Category and the Eduardo Aboitiz Award for Outstanding Institution Category to individuals and institutions who have done philanthropic, humanitarian, and holistic efforts in enhancing the quality of life of groups and communities.

The 7th RAFI Triennial Awards is now accepting application an is only until December 31, 2016. Interested applicants can visit their website and download Application forms and Guidelines for eligibility and other requirements at: http://rafi.org.ph/triennialawards/425/nomination-form/.

In this light the Memorandum Circular No. 2016-85 dated June 21, 2016 was issued by Mel Senen S. Sarmiento, Secretary, DILG inviting provincial governors, city mayors, municipal mayors, ARMM Regional governors, DILG Regional Directors of Region VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, NIR and all others concerned.
