Wanted: Earth-fill Donations for Public School

Josefa Llanes Escoda Elementary School (JLEES) located in Maa, Davao City is in dire need of earthfill to elevate their school ground which has been suffering from constant flooding. In response to the problem, Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta, as the Chairperson of the Committee on Education of the City Council, and JLEES principal Ms. Cecilia Cardoza introduced the ground elevation joint community project at the Club 888 media forum at Marco Polo Hotel on November 27, 2013, appealing for public support and assistance from both government and private sectors.

ABS-CBN Foundation's Bantay Bata 163, the 24 hour hotline that provides rescue and rehabilitation for children in crisis has launched a fund-raising Children's Bazaar at the Matina Town Square last Friday, November 13, 2009.
The Children's Bazaar which showcased small companies and local entrepreneurs with their handicrafts, health products, environment friendly goods as well as beauty products, food and beverages and imported items. Proceeds of the said event will go to the ABS-CBN Foundation's Bantay Bata 163.

C130 Aircraft Hercules Crashed at Sea

Philippine Air Force C130 Aircraft Hercules crashed at sea last night after it took off from Davao City. A massive search and rescue operation was made after a few minutes of zero contact with the airport authorities. Debris of the 37 year old aircraft had been recovered inside the 20 mile radius where the aircraft was believed to have crashed.
According to Chief Lt. Pedrito Cadungog, the aircraft was piloted by Captain Adrian de Dios and Major Manuel Sambrano, and had seven crew on board, Sergeants Constantino Lobregat, John Arriola, Sergeant Aldrin Ilustrisimo, Patricio Claur Jr., Gerry Delioso, Felix Pedro Patriarga and Petronilo Fernandez. Radio and television reports said the aircraft crews were bound to go to Ilo-ilo City to pick up members of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's Presidential Security Group. There is still no information as of the moment if there has been any survivor from the crash.
